Mountain Directory (West)

Looking for any Mountain Directries that you might recommend and had success with. Some are older (2006) and have not been updated. Just looking for suggestions for our western trip to the Rockies and beyond.

Thanks for your time.

Yah, we have an OLD one from 2000, I think it is. I don't see them at CW any more.. maybe they were just out. But, horror of horrors, there are many steep grades not listed. Never understood that. Maybe it's up to us to let the author know

Here is the web site for those books. It does not say in which year it was printed. The picture of the Mountain Directory is the same as the one I have which was printed in 2000.

If you know some of the routes you would be taking, post it for some feed back from the MOC, I am sure there has to be someone out there that has driven it.

I have a pair of books that I bought 5-6 years ago. They were copyrighted in 2006 and look like the pictures on the website.

I use the "Mountain Directory West" (for Truckers, RV, and Motorhome Drivers). It was published in 2006 and listed as costing $16.95 by R&R Publishing, Inc. I think it's the one you have listed and I guess they haven't updated it for whatever reason but I like it a lot!
You may also want to get Rand McNally's Motor Carrier's Road Atlas. It has lists of low clearance bridges and overpasses
