Nope...just FYI...my screws are NOT in the fabric they are just outboard on each end in the groove and therefore the fabric can not slide out of alignment. It is an easy fix using aluminum #8 metal round head phillips head, rolls up aligned everytime no matter how long or how much wind we encounter.

Mine got off kilter also, and I too was worried about ripping the awning material. I used two pieces of 1 x 4 about 6 inches long, one on top and one on bottom, and put a C Clamp on that. It not only kept me from tearing anything it also gave me a good handle for a grip. Those things don't slide real easy. Good Luck, and Happy Trails.

Our awning has been doing the very same thing. I sometimes have to open and close it several times until I can get it re-aligned. The vinyl seems to slide fairly easily which will allow me to re-adjust the position of the arms when they go back up. I believe the idea for using screws might be answer.

As mentioned above, roll awning out all the way, slide awning on trailer side on rail the opisite way that the arms are closing wrong, then roll up. Once in line again install a screw at each end of awning rail on trailer through the awning fabric to secure and it will alway's stay centered from now on. I use to install awnings on trailers and alway's made this a common practice and never had any problems.......Happy Campin...........Ron

Our awning has been doing the same thing since new. Another problem i have is when we open the awning and pull it out with the rod, only the end towards the front of the trailer will come out. Then i have to get on the stairs and grab the other arm and raise it up about an inch and pull it off the bracket at the top, and i mean pull. The joys of owning an RV.

Had the same problem and couldn't find any of the symptoms mentioned above. We do have about 12 of the light holder tabs with eyelets which are left in place when the awning is rolled up. I always left them where ever they ended up after removing the lights. I tried centering all the tabs together on the awning roll and the misalignment problem was solved!

You must have a manuel awning, and sounds like the side that is hanging up just needs an adjustment. On the awning arm there are several holes for height adjustment once deployed, when you put the awning back down before rolling in, there is a bolt near the bottom of the arm that the slide portion rests on, just adjust that bolt up one notch on the side that is hanging up and you should be good to go. Happy Campin.........Ron

Thanks Ron. I did that awhile back but moved the bolt down instead of up. Will give it another try next week....Bill
