Wet Bolt Kit for 2006 3400RL

Could someone help me with the Model #/Part Number for a Wet Bolt kit for a 2006 Montana 3400RL with Mor-Ryde suspension dual 6000 lb axle set-up? And a lowest cost supplier. I intend to install myself. TIA.

Do like I did call MoRyde and order the wet bolts directly from them.

I ordered ours from MoRyde via email and here's what they said:

"Thanks for emailing, the kit you need for a two axle LRE system is LRE12-001 and retails for $149.00. This will give you the necessary hardware for the LRE system as well as the heavy duty wet bolts with the half inch shackles, bronze bushings, and greaseable bolts." Person I ordered from was Ben Wiginton: ben.wiginton@morryde.com

Our trailer is also a 2006 with 6000lb axles, so everything shold be the same for yours. A note of warning: check each bolt before installing to make sure the drilled holes connect with each other. Two of mine did not and needed to be drilled deeper.

The wet bolt have a horizontal hole where the zert fitting attaches. Then in the middle there is a vertical hole to let the grease out. Sometimes that vertical hole is not deep enough and NO grease comes out.
If you are going to install your own, you should also get a 9/16 ream to make sure the bronze bushings are not compressed to much when inserted in the spring eyes.

I just read the installation instructions and now I understand which hole might need to be drilled out. It is hard for me to believe that whoever manufacturers these would not verify that the horizontal hole and the vertical hole do actually meet. Without that no grease would get to the bearing surface. But thanks for the tip. Also appreciate the tip about using the reamer on the spring eyes. I also realize now I may not have an adequate number of support stands to pull this off where I'm at which isn't home. I better check out a few neighbors here and see what I can borrow. Not sure why both sides have to be off the ground at the same time. Is there a reason for that?

You can do it with only one side off the ground at a time because that is the way I did it. However when we did Dave's, Exnavydiver, we found having both sides off took torque off of the axles from the wheels on the ground. Therefore easier to align the last bolt.

John pretty much answered all the questions. I will add that I did ours myself, as John pointed out one side at a time. For extra safety, leave the tow vehicle hooked up if you can with the parking brake on. I used three hydraulic jacks. Two 20 ton units to raise the trailer (on the frame in front and behind the wheels) and a small 2 ton jack to raise and lower each axle as I worked to align the spring holes. You can get by with just one 20 ton jack but I found it's easier with two.

As for why the bolts aren't drilled through, they are made in China - enough said.

I guess it isn't reasonable to expect the US vendor to inspect that which they sell. Must be in the RV bsuiness.

Dave,
I used John & Dave's suggestions when installing my bolts. Both sides or just one airborne depends on your available equipment. I did freeze my brass bushings overnight and cleaned out my spring eyes really well before installation.
