Satellite connection help

I am trying to find out if our new Keystone Montana High Country has a satellite connection problem or if it is the receiver. We just got the 353RL this week and I am setting up satellite. What is happening does not make sense so I am hoping one of you will understand and let me know what the problem could be. Dish network 211z receiver will only find one satellite when connected in the living room but will find all three when connected in the bedroom. Dish network 211K receiver will find all three in the living room and in the bedroom. So could it be there is a connection issue in the living room that the 211z sees but the 211k does not? Or is the issue with the 211z? But it works in the bedroom. The 211k is very old and the 211z is new. I am using a tailgater and connected it to the living room connection and tried the receivers then disconnected from the living room and connected to the bedroom connection. I did not move the tailgater. Any ideas?

Length of cable run perhaps, or maybe a loose connector?

You are right, it does not make much sense. The 211z is apparently good since it works fine in the bedroom. I can only guess the signal to the living room is slightly less strong than the signal to the bedroom, and that the z does not pick up that signal quite as well as the k. You might try replacing the connectors on each end of the cable to the living room at the convenience center and the living room wall plate.

Even after having all connections checked, we had to hook the tailgater straight to the livingroom receiver. Try running the cable in a window and hook it to the receiver. If it works that way, then the camper wiring doesn't allow a strong enough signal.
