Washer/dryer drain
Today we learned the hard way that our Monty drains the washing machine water to the shower gray tank! We had a little flood.
our '09 3400RL bypassed the tanks and drained right into the sewer.

Actually I think you will find your washer drains right into the sewer discharge. So for that reason you have to be hooked up to the sewer to use your washer. In our 07, I have a master shutoff valve on the sewer discharge where the hose connects. I have a close pin on the washer door. If the close pin is there do not use. When I hook up the hose and pull the master dump valve open I move the close pin to the authorized to use position.

Our 08 drains into the shower gray water tank so welcome to the overflow club. When we park I always open the drain when we are hooked up sewer.

My '09 3605RL W/D drain pipes also are routed to the shower gray tank.

Our '07 goes to the grey tank. Fill it up pretty fast if the DW does much laundry.

our 07 goes directly to sewer drain so hose has to be hooked up or I guess If you did leave the shower gray valve open and NOT hooked to sewer drain it could fill that tank instead??? Anyhow, we don`t run washer till hooked up to sewer drain for sure.

I think what the deal is, is that the models that have the W/D cabinet in the bedroom up in the nose of the 5er (like the 3605 & 3665) are plumbed into the shower gray tank.
Mine most definitely is draining directly to the holding tank, as I can visually see that it is when I have taken the basement wall off.
