sliding bedroom doors

well our pocket door to the bathroom the plastic latch broke, and the sliding bedroom closet doors have been fixed once but have managed to still come apart when we travel. took to the dealer and they replaced the plastic roller lock with a metal and works great, but the dealer told me they are ordering 4 new doors for the bedroom under warranty,, on our 2014 3625re.

good luck on your replacements. I finally gave up on their repairs and took it upon myself to get the job done. I spent about 2 hours with my drill, some short flat head screws, liquid nail, small brads.

About 2 thousand miles later over Arkansas roads and going through West Memphis twice no problems.

I have learned that usually they tear up more than they repair lately. They put in a new Splendide and started to use it. Well they didn't get the dryer vent attached to the unit. Clamped was lying on top of the washer, I guess it just vibrated up there.

Anyway I will stop complaining. Good luck on your doors. I know some are just tying them open all the time.

Once you get the doors replaced don't trust the straps. I always put some pieces of floaties in the door to take out the slack. Stuff a couple of those in the door opening and you won't have the door come loose. People usually use the floaties on the basement door so they do not hit their head on the door. Hopes this helps you.

Floaters - Noodles (used by kids in pools or at the beach) the same thing? If not, what are floaties? We slit the noodles and slide them on the underside of the bedroom slide so I don't brain myself when I walk around the corner and forget to duck.

ito will see how it woks out the 4 bedroom closet doors are not made to well to open and close all the time a tiny piece of trim to open the door and another on the opposite side to catch it when we close the closet doors. so when they are done i to will take some small #6 wood screws and attach them more securely than the so called staples in it from the factory, anyway might have to travel with them in the open position and use a noodle to hold them open.

This has just happened to us! Thanks for the ideas about the noodles and wood screws to keep the doors from breaking again.

You guys are the best! I think we will just fix this ourselves rather than bother taking it in..... Sounds easy enough.

For the sliding doors, I replaced the straps with nice metal latches I found at Home Depot, one half on the back edge of the door and the other on the wall. Our closet doors have been problem free.
