Digital air chuck

I'm looking to buy a digital air chuck for my truck & trailer tires. I need a minimum 110 psi in the trailer. Anybody got experience or words of wisdom, favorite model, etc.? I just don't feel confident in the $25 - $35 models on Amazon.

I got one from the company that makes the "Green Slime" that you can put in off road tires many years ago. Have changed the battery once. Works great.

Hay that is where I got mine. Original battery.
Mine is just a gage.

I wouldn’t worry to much about it being perfectly accurate. The gages the National Standards aren’t perfect. The trick is knowing how much they are off and allowing for it. Get a gage and check it against several others.

That being said, boat loads of us have used the pencil styled air gauges (some with dual heads) with complete peace of mind for years and years of RVing and ... we never paid near $35 for one. Oops here I go again not being open minded ...

X3 - dieselguy and Lynwood - it is just consistence of readings that counts

I have 2 good tire air pressure gauges, neither of which are digital. The easiedt one to uses is my JACO (https://www.amazon.com/JACO-ElitePro...673477&sr=8-26) which is only about 5 years old. That's backed up by my ancient Milton truck gauge (https://www.amazon.com/Milton-S986-S...s%2C197&sr=8-8) which is still dang accurate at over 50 years of age.


I've tried and trashed several digital gauges and the cheap little pencil gauges before the JACO, all being a waste of money.


If you want near 100 percent accuracy, look at Longacre gauges but be prepared for sticker shock http://www.longacreracing.com/products.aspx?itemid=1640

Ever watch a NASCAR race? They talk about reducing air pressure in the right front tire by 1/2 pound for pushing. Bet their gauge cost more than 35$.

Jaco 200psi digital gauge and a long straight chuck to make airing inside dual easier. Had this setup four years know with no problems. Have not even replaced the batteries. Just check it against a dealers gauge last month when I had my truck serviced. I think they were about $40 dollars when I purchased them.

I work for a race car driver and yes the pressure is very critical to their handling, 1lb done make a difference to them . Not so for us.

I've got the old fashioned gauge I bought at a truck stop. Had to buy it because trailer tires were low and my digital gauge had quit. Not going to count on digital gauges any more.
I knew the trailer tires were low because of my tst. We were pulling the trailer in to go to florida, it had sat at my work campground for over a year. The air compressor I have kept with me for years wouldn't put enough air in the trailer tires so had to slowly make my way to truck stop.

I mainly count on the tst for trailer and the dash for my ram dually tires.

Been using the digital Green Slime for years....batteries last forever in them. Get them most anywhere for around $14.00.

I asked my son for fathers day to fix me up with good quality air gauge as he is a professional mechanic thinking he get me a real good milton pro model well to my surprise he gave me a snap on blue point digital gauge which he said if I felt it did not read correctly he could have recalibrated wow was I impressed do not have clue what it cost but I love it
