Need help with A/C quick

This afternoon here in AZ my A/C shuts off like it was cooled down. Even tho it wasn't. I can shut it off, wait 30 seconds and turn it on again. It works for a while - earlier I think it ran maybe an hour or so. Now it is only running 5 minutes.
Is there some sort of fuse that would do this?
Thanks.

Presume it had been doing fine. What model? Doesn’t show on phone.

It is new last August 1 - Dometic. I thought I read somewhere that they do not replace freon in RV A/C units. I certainly hope that is not it. I am 4 days into an 80 day trip. I know it has a 1 or 2 year warranty, but it will delay us and be a general pain.

Try running the fan on high on that unit. It could be freezing up. One of ours does that in NM with temps in the 100's and very low humidity you wouldn't expect that, but the unit running for hours at lower speeds without shutting off does it to us. After noon I shift our livingroom one to high and turn it back to auto at night. The bedroom one shuts off enough it doesn't have the same issue.

I pretty much run on high all the time. It did seem to correspond to when the temps started cooling a little - maybe only 80 instead of 93, tho that doesn't seem like it would cause this.

I can confirm they don’t recharge RV ACs. If a tech tried to it’s not supported by the manufacturer

Tom, I think this sounds like the same issue we are having. I removed the face plates from both thermostats and that reset and worked for a while. Now it's doing the same thing again. Try removing the face plates, they just pull straight off. You can still adjust using the metal blade underneath. Turn unit off for about 3 minutes, then turn back on. It may take several times to reset. See our running thread at https://www.montanaowners.com/forums...ad.php?t=81164. We've been going back and forth with Dometic for a couple weeks.

My trailer is a 2013 and only has one A/C unit on the thermostat. Most of the threads are about the newer touch thermostats

If it is domestic, the can walk you thru a process to reset the thermostats.
