We have one on our 2018 HC. It was messed up from the start. CW sorta fixed on warranty but it is still wobbly. Door isn’t much to start with. Will most likely replace sooner than latter. I personally don’t like the design and fail to see any benefit of it to be honest. In fact it is a pain when it hangs up on open drawers under sink

We have a pivot door on our 2018 305RL Montana and so far it works well. We have received a few comments mostly good as people are surprised by the design.

Ours still working great. We had a 2016 High Country with the typical hinges and we hated having to step down on the step before being able to open the door. So this was a blessing especially at night. So when we traded up for a Montana and saw the door I was thrilled. Now I understand the HC has the pivot door. Obviously,
the door is not the reason we got the Montana. Other perks.

I have a 2017 3000RE and it has the pivot door hinge. I have had the trailer about a year and have already had to have it repaired. The door was hanging on the bottom against the door frame. A regular hinge door would have been better. Just another way to save a dollar and charge you 5.

Pivot Hinge Bath Door

Does any know where I can purchase the replacement hardware for the Pivot Hinge Bath Door? I have searched online and have not found.

Thanks
Ann

Ours is still as good as new after 4.5 months full time use. We also close it when traveling.

I had to have mine repaired after one year. You have had better luck that I have. I am expecting it to need repair sometime in the future.

Mine would not close properly from the factory. CW repaired it but it is still rather wobbly. I don't expect it to last very long.......

I'm not a fan of this door design. Its a bit difficult to open and it catches on open drawers in the bathroom.

Our hallway from the kitchen to rear bedroom is rather narrow. I am wondering if the idea behind the design was to maximize space in the bathroom by reducing the size of the hallway? If that was the intent why not just use a pocket door? Although I have to admit I don't care for those either.

About to fall down

Well our pivot door is now about to fall down. The molding came off last night and hit me smack on the head.
I am going to do something with it today.

Too bad this door could have been a pocket door. Hope Keystone is listening.

Agreed, pocket doors have been found in some of the older Montana models. Our 2010 3455 had one between the bath and bed which worked great.
Our pivot door has been reworked to become a regular swing in door.

To repair a pocket door I once had to tear the wall apart, I prefer this way.

I have the pocket door and the top works great but the bottom would always pop out of it's plastic bracket that holds the door in place. I installed a L-shaped bracket at the bottom about 6 to 8 inches back from the plastic bracket and it works very well. Be sure to install a piece of vinyl material on the bracket as to not scratch the door when sliding back and forth. With all the problems with the pivot doors i think i will stick with what i've got.

Okay if our Pocket Door fails outside of warranty, going to just remove it and put up 2 hooks a the bottom of the stairs. Bashful folks can use a dog lease across the stairs to designate someone is "under Dressed" is in the bathroom. I mean 99.999% of the time it is just the DW and I. Yes, there is a risk of traumatizing and scarring the grandkids for life.

Had an nice Class A with a pocket door. The door would detach the wires from the slide switch plate on the other side of the wall. THAT was a nuisance. I prefer my pivot door any day of the week.

Not a fan of the pivot door - have 2018 3561RL - why not use a sliding door like in the bedroom. Had one on our previous 5th wheel and it worked well. The pivot door is just a pain.

Made the dealer put regular hinges on our pivot door before we would take delivery. If you have a 3720 or 3721 the pivot door will not let you access the bathroom or the bedroom with the slides in. Just the opposite or what they designed them for on other rigs.
