ADA Site Requests

We realize there are some that would like a site that falls under the ADA requirements for this Rally. If you require an ADA site, please post here under this thread only.

The number of ADA sites are limited and we will do our best to fulfill as many requests as possible, but we cannot guarantee sites for all requests. This will be determined by the number we are allowed by the campground/fairground.

Thank you,
Your Wagon Master Team

Michael and Rebekah Darnell
Roger and Joni Weed
David and Judy Moss

Larry & Debbie Oxford. Wife is having hip/back problems and has trouble waking very far. She is currently undergoing therapy, trying to avoid surgery. We would like a site closer rather than farther away from the activities if possible. Not sure how she will be this fall, hopefully better. I'm good either way.

You know we are not in the tents this rally,We had a ADA site last rally because of my bad knee but with the activities in the buildings I do not see how you can be close to the buildings. I figure we will have to drive up there. What am I missing.

Rich, this is going to be addressed at the Wagon Master Team group meeting coming up next month and we will determine if we have sites near the building/s then. I don't think we will let folks drive up to the meeting site because there is not enough parking for that type of situation. The walk difference from previous Rallies is only about a block or block and a half difference.

While I am not requesting a ADA site I would like the directors know that my wife has COPD and would like that to be considered when assigning our site
Thanks much

I need to clarify my request. My wife does not have an ADA sticker, but is having difficulty walking.

Bump-- Bringing this back to the subject matters to see if there are any others that have signed up later that might need an ADA site. We have a limited number of sites and will assign ADA sites as needed until they are all gone and then will try to assign sites as close as possible after those sites are filled.

Ron, are we able to drive our truck closer to the main event building if we end up way out in the sticks? If that is not a option then could you add Larry and Debbie Ambuehl to the bottom of your list.
Larry

Larry, We don't know where anyone will be set up for their site on the campground as of this date except we do know where the ADA applications will be. They will be quite close to the ECCC building which is where all of the functions will be held except for the vendor building. You will be able to drive over to the main building but as of this date the parking area will be on the opposite side of the main building. There has been a posting by Ed and Susan DeWitt, one of our Asst. Wagon Masters, about the possibility of renting golf carts for the week also. We are hoping to have enough response on this that we can set things into motion of actually getting the golf carts for rent during the Rally. You might also consider this as an option. We still have several months to see how things pass and we will put you on the ADA list if needed before the posting of the site list depending on what you decide on. Looking forward to seeing you at the Rally in September. Have a safe trip from Washington!

Renting a golf cart is the way to go.We are on the list to do so. We go to a lot of rallies and the opportunity to rent a golf cart to get around is common. We are spread out over the fairgrounds this year (we have been to 14 fall rallies) with 190 signed up so far that means 190 trucks. If you have absolutely no trouble walking and could use the exercise you are good.I highly recommend the golf cart. We had a ADA site last year that was close in to the big tent.We are not using the big tent this year, We are going with the golf cart.
