auto level pad getting wet

Hi All,

We have a really heavy rain storm here yesterday. I went to check on something in my storage area and for some reason I when and opened the auto leveler door and the pad was wet. Is this OK or do I have a little problem with the door leaking in water?

You could call Lippert, they're very helpful. The units seem to be sealed well enough that it's probably not a worry.

Charlie - my theory - the little black door over the level-up control pad does not have any weatherstripping...therefore it must be ok if moisture or rain gets into the control pad area. Perhaps Lippert designed the panel to be weather resistant. I have never noticed any water or moisture inside mine....not that I have checked it very often. The Rig has not moved since Dec 31 2019. We had plans to go to League City to see my new grandson one weekend of each month since but that got interrupted by the Covid. You must have had a hard blowing rain!

Perfectly fine. Some manufacturers don’t even put the door over the pad.

When I picked up mine last year, the only thing wrong was the leveler pad would not work. They had just washed it, and water got behind it (high pressure wash), said it happens all the time (I think they left the door opened) and new immediately how to fix it. They took off the panel, dried it off, clear caulked behind it and put it back in. No issues since, not that there would have been from rain but you never know.
