Dutch Oven demonstration-June 9th
As those of you who attended the Jackson Rally may know, we compete in Dutch oven cooking competition. We will put on a basic clinic on cooking in Dutch Ovens on Thursday June 9th from 9:30 to 11:30 am in the BBQ area at Seven Feathers. We will cover selection, seasoning, care and use of Dutch Ovens mainly as applied to camping/RV usage. During the demo we will cook a couple of dishes and serve samples of them at the end of the presentation.
We need those interested in attending to sign up so we can bring enough handout material. Looking forward to seeing everyone,

Warren and Roberta-- That really sounds good! Why don't you come on out to Nebraska for the Central Plains Rally in July and show us how to do it here too! Nebraska is known for the cooking in Dutch Ovens since that's how the settlers coming across the Nation on the Oregon Trail cooked and also those that settled here did most of their cooking back a few years that is! We always carry one of our dutch ovens in the Monte while on the road. They make some of the best meals we've ever eaten and they are outstanding for making desserts in also!

Joy and I would like to attend your Dutch Oven cooking demonstration. We have made desserts in Dutch Ovens, but would like to know how to cook other Dutch Oven dishes.

Rondo...It would be fun to come to Nebraska, but it's out of the question with current fuel prices. Do appreciate the invitation though. Keep on cooking in your DO, after all, Dutch Oven cooking is the original "Ol' Black Magic"!
