Locked in
2011 Big Sky 3580RL. Our Big Sky has the custom radius shower. The wife was alone in the RV and taking a shower. When she got in the shower and pulled the two round doors shut they stayed shut by a magnetic lock. When she was done with her shower she could not open the shower doors, she was locked in. The doors had locked shut with the outside latch used to keep the doors closed while travelling. There is no way to open the
out side latch when in the shower. She was locked in the shower for 15 to 20 minutes before our Grandson entered the RV and heard her calling for help. Her message to all is make sure the shower travel lock is totaly in the open position before taking a shower. Made for good conversation at the family dinner gathering that night.

Maybe a funny story to tell down the road, but far from funny when it happened. Thanks for the heads up.

That's not good. I hope you find a way to override/bypass this feature or create some means to get out of it. I am a firm believer if something happens once, it can certainly happen again. Your wife was very lucky to get out of that mess in less than half hour, and quite lucky the grandson just happened to be available. This could have been so much worse.

I make sure to keep the screw tightened so that it stays in the open position. However, I would never try to travel without the doors latched shut. Too much risk for anything to happen, just like the sliding closet doors.
