Dometic Awning arm question

Greetings from Oregon, I have a 2019 Montana 3700LK and recently had to have the awning arm replaced. The new arm witch was a (direct replacement) from Dometic is missing this attachment (circled in red on the attached photo) on the arm. Could someone please inform me on what this is? The new arm was not wired for it nor was it drilled out to accept this piece on the new arm yet my trailer was originally wired for it and has it.

Thank you in advance.

It appears that part just covers electric cable past that pivot joint, but none of their manuals show that. Probably best to just call Dometic to ask about it. 800-544-4881

That is the Dometic Power Arm.
You can buy attachments that plug into it. Lights, fan etc.

I drilled the rivets holding it to the old arm and removed it, there a wire coming out of the rv side wall that was plugged into it.

Thank you for the response this definitely soles the mystery I was having. Another Dometic accessory to get you to buy specialized Dometic attachments that’ll fail miserably. Glad I no longer have the option.

Thank You again
