saying Hi to passing Montanas on the road

Hi all. My husband, Steve, and I are on the road again. We've noticed a fair number of Montanas driving around. I was wondering if anyone signals to other Montanas? Such as flashing headlights or anything? Just wondering.

I usually flash my lights if I notice them in time.

When a Montana approached from the opposite direction on the highways and biways, I flash my lights three times if I see them in time.

We need to get a Montana Owners Club plaque and mount it to the ladder.

I used to do it, but never had one acknowledge it. So I assumed they thought I was warning them of LEO with radar set up down the road, and stopped doing it.

When approaching one another at a closing speed of 120MPH or better by the time you identify it as a Montana it is already gone by.

I will flash my light if I see them in time and there is no big rigs in front of me. Flashing your light at them will signal the driver that it is clear to move over.

Why just Montana’s? We’re all part of the rv community aren’t we? I ride a Harley and if you’re on two wheels or three you’re going to get a wave from me. I don’t care what make or model bike you’re on. And I believe a wave is much better than flashing your lights.

Harley guys around here only give the 2 down signal to other harleys, completely ignore japanese bikes.

I was behind some and one coming the other way gave them the 2 down.

I was in my dually and gave him the 6 down, had to steer with my knee there for a second.

All the people I ride with are the same as me. We all ride different bikes. We might hassle someone about their bike but, it’s a two way street and done in fun.

I still do the ole "rancher or farmer in my truck" greeting another one going the other way hand wave for Montanas. Used to do the same when driving my big rig ,but that evolved in getting a one finger salute back so.

I usually wave from the steering wheel. I used to ride a Harley Road Glide, would give the down low wave to passing "enthusiasts" ... tried this with the pickup truck and Montana, got tired of breaking my fingers on the inside of the door panel, besides, they couldn't see me waving anyway.

No I don't bother and please, everybody quit flashing lights to say "HI". Flashing lights at oncoming traffic is the universal sign on our highwsys to "Sow down, there's something going on ahead of you."

Wave!

My husband says they will think there’s something wrong with their rig or worse that I’m crazy! I said, that’s ok! A sticker/decal/sign would be a plan for sure!
