Help needed with Slam Latch Part Name???
When Camping World replaced our outside entertainment center compartment, the new door lacked the hook-like parts that the slam latch engaged with. I have no clue what the part is even called to do a search and have Camping World looking as well. Does anyone know what these things are called or where to get them? What I am looking for is shown in the circled areas on this photo:

Can they not remove those parts from the old compartment they replaced?
The door is probably Lippert. They have a retail customer service section, you might call them and maybe send a picture.

Doubt that I am of much help but I would call that a hook latch. Just my H/O.

The baggage door lock/latch itself is from Fastec industrial. If you go to their site (fastecindustrial.com), and give them a call, maybe they can help you with the hook. I have the same things on ours, and it looks easy to fab yourself. Just need angle iron and a piece of 1/4" bent rod, then weld them together.

They could have, if they would not have discarded them with the damaged compartment. It did not help that it was not noticed until after the repairs were completed. They are checking with Keystone so hopefully they can come up with the parts to replace. As it is now, the slam latch and lock mechanism is only catching on the lip of the frame which is flimsy at best. A good yank and the door can be opened and access to the television is gained. Not a good situation. Worst case, if they cannot track it down, I will move the hooks from the underbed outside compartment to the entertainment compartment.

Well shucks. I went out and looked at my compartment latches. They look like yours. My key is a double sided key and it has Global Link on the plastic part of the key. Global Link has a site and it has RV Baggage Door latches that look like mine and probably yours. Maybe a call to them might get you on the track.

If it does not have a specific name, I would be surprised! Perhaps we can make up a name?
