TV Volume

How do you get the volume to be louder?

Even though it’s at 100%, you can barely hear it

Is there a way to “ run it” yhrough the radio?

Tv is not a smart tv
Jensen is the radio.

We have a 2020 3790RD

Thanks in advance.

It's hard to say without more info. I would think it would come setup from the factory but I would personally pull out the radio and check to see how it's wired. It should work with a DVD but might not be wired to run sound when watching just TV via OTA or Cable.

3 different camper now, we use a Bose Soundbar. It wasn't cheap, but it's been used in our house, then 3 different trailers. Plugs in with either a fiber optic cable or an HMDI cable. Sound is much better than anything in the camper's entertainment center. Ended up getting another sound bar (Best Buy, not a Bose), and use it on the main television now. It has the Bass speaker, tweeters, surround sound. We run the wires around and have absolutely awesome sound in the camper. When that Base is rolling, the entire trailer rumbles. We can hear it rumble a couple hundred feet from the camper (if we blast it loud enough) .... which we don't. I think the thing would break our ear drums.

Sometimes, what's installed in our campers is just junk. And if you want something substantial, you've just got to replace the junk with something else and then be forever happy!

I would also go with a sound bar.

Check to see if there is an optical cable from the TV to the Stereo. That was the usual connection before a smart TV. If there is, or you add one, then select "D-In" (Digital input) on the stereo and turn off the TV speakers. That should use the "surround" sound system installed.

Sound bar is a better option

Our Jensen TV has NO optical port, you can run an HDMI cable from the TV to the stereo and set it for HDMI ARC. You will have to have a better HDMI cable to accomplish this, it will play the audio from the TV thru the stereo. We did that for a time, but we found a sound bar is a better quality sound option. The other nice thing is with the HDMI ARC option is you can play the TV sound throughout the entire rigs speaker system. So if your watching a game you can go to the other end of the rig and still listen to the game. These original TV's are very limited with what they can do, compared to current TV standards. As soon as ours craps out we will replace it with a real smart TV!

Yep, upgrading is usually the best option. For us the Furrion TV is gone, Smart TV now there. Added separate BluRay player and sound bar with bass bin. More functionality and better sound.

Now, the only thing we use the OEM stereo is for CD's or Radio.

We have a 4K "dumb TV". Go figure. However, the HDMI ARC (audio return channel) port on the TV has an input going to our iRV 62 stereo receiver . Works well to play audio through the coach speakers. Maybe yours might have the same setup available.
