No problem, I went ahead and booked it yesterday, and I am already impressed, very, very nice customer service, and that is big with me. I just hope the rest is just as good. I believ they have Internet access right there, so I will post when I get there, April 7th.

We were there for Fantasy Fest a couple years ago. The RV park was ok. One great thing for us was that it was on the bus line into Key West. I wouldn't like to drive my one-ton truck into town, or back after that kind of drinking! I'll go back again someday, with bicycles and kayaks.

We also look forward to hearing all the details. We are booked into Bluewater Key for a couple of weeks at the end of May.

If you find any reasonable priced boat rentals please pass on the info.

DCP, welcome aboard. I can't help you with the Fort Wilderness question but if you'll scroll up to the top of the page and click on New Topic you can start your own topic with something like Fort Wilderness for the subject. More people might see your question that way. Just a suggestion. Hope you get the answers you are looking for. I know a number of people on this forum are familiary with that CG.

Dave and Emily, we stayed at Fort Wilderness in January. We were glad it was the offseason as the price can be pretty steep. The campground itself didn't seem like anything special but it was great to be on the bus lines to all the major attractions. I think there are a lot of things for young families to do there.

Have not stayed in campgrounds in Key West. Was in Marathon about 40 mikes up the Keys for month of January. It was wonderful there. Have reservations for next year at Sunshine Key. The campground we were in has been sold to build condos. If you plan to go to the Keys don't delay. Land is too valuable for campgrounds to survive.
