Anyone have any feed-back on KM Resorts of America, Coast to Coast And Resorts Of Distinction? We have only six days "right of recission". We will be full-timing mostly west coast and southwest U.S. in a 36' f'ver. Any experiences would be appreciated.I think the package we purchased will be put to good use, but need to know if there are any "hidden" problems.

Have never used any but some friendaof ours use coast to coast all the time & love them. I camped with them in Fl & was paying $18.00 a nite & he was next to me & paid $ 6,00 a nite.

Juggernaught, A month or so ago, I ran into a deal which might be of interest to you. It is offered by "Lewis-Clark Resort" in Kamiah, ID. It is a "Coast to Coast Resort". They have two types of memberships. First is a regular membership which is free just pay the annual dues which are frozen at $239 per year. This gives you 2 weeks free then out 1 week and 2 additional weeks free per year. The other is what they call the "Best Terms Camping Club" where you just buy the number of years you wish. 1+1 free year for $299 to 10+1 free year for $699 with NO annual dues. This gives you 1 peak season week & 1 off season week free at their park per year. With either of the above, this would allow you to join RPI for $65 per year and or Coastal Systems for $80 per year which will allow you to use other member parks around the country for about $8 per night. For Carol and I, this would be the greatest advantage of owning a Campground Membership. If you wish to contact them, call (800) 264-9943 and ask for Misti.

We belong to K/M, ROD, and RPI and have used it for snowbirding in S Cal, AZ, and NV for 6 months at a time the last 2 years. Rod is the best as we can stay 2 weeks at a time for nothing. Our neighbors belong to Wester Horizon and AOR and when we are in the same park they have to pay extra for electric and we don't. The parks can't charge ROD members for electric. With ROD we can go from one Western Horizon park to another without staying out of the their system a week. Doesn't seem fair for the Western Horizon members, but thats the way it is for most campground memberships. RPI is a mirror of Coast to Coast, but you can only stay for a week at a time. The only drawback is you can only make reservations 60 days in advance, so you want to make reservations right at 60 days during the busy season.

There is a Coast to Coast resort in Crossville, TN. that you join for $299.00 and has a frozen annual dues of $49.00. If you stay at their resort it cost $2.00 per night, other C/C cost $8.00 per night. There is also a Coast to Coast annual fee of $65.00.

Our C/C Home Park is also Crossville TN. Bought into it over 3 years ago, and just renewed for another 3 years. This year we stopped for a week at our home park for the first time, in other words you don't ever have to go to your home park to get into C/C. We have definitely gotten our monies worth. Some C/C parks in the system are 5 star and some would be lucky to get 1 star. There's a Campground Membership Outlet at 1-800-272-0401. This is the way we got ours. The new on line reservation system is working out great for us. No regrets.

Thanks for all the input. I think there is a two tier system in most resorts memberships that allow different uses and fees. Just trying to find out what is what.

If you join Coast to Coast, you might want a home resort some place you don't frequent too often. They have a 125 mile rule which means you can't use a C to C campground within a 125 mile radius of your home resort. Just something to think about to help with your decision.

Just a word of warning. We have been Coast to Coast members since 1988 and have gone through three park closure. Every time it has cost us more money to transfer. We belong to Martin Lake in Biloxi, Ms now and have for five years and that seems to be well managed.
