Rhode Island -camp ground

My sisters son is getting married in June. They live in Rhode Island. We will be going up for the wedding.Wouldn`t miss it for the world.Looks like we might be staying at "Wawaloam Campground"its close to where they live.Has any one stayed their, and if so your impressions of the place.

A little fact I thought you all might like to know.My sisters husband is THE grandson of W.C.Fields.I`am sure our senior members will know this name.Hes a great guy and a great brother in law.

Not to thrilled about crossing the "george Washington Bridge"with my Montana but I`ll survive I guess.

Harleyrider, don't worry about going over the GW. Use the upper level because you have propane. I don't use the Cross Bronx to bumpy and the road is badly groved. When you come off the bridge take I87 North (Major Diggen) follow to Rt287 S to White Plains and back to I95, that keeps you out of the bad part of town. It is only a few miles longer.

We pulled our TT that way on a trip to Maine. It was okay, but I didn't especially like sitting in traffic. It was worth it to go see the sights up that way. Have a great trip.

Harleyrider, you might consider going via the Tappanzee bridge. This would mean taking the NJ expressway for part of it. It is actually a little longer but much more pleasant. We usually do this and avoid New York (except when we take the train into Manhattan and stay at hotels...but that's another story). I live in RI but have not stayed at any campgrounds here. What town is your sister's son in?

Our vote is also for the Tappanzee--much less stressful and actually quite scenic. Then you can avoid a lot of 95 as well. Don't know anything about RI though. Happy travels.
