Wisconsin Dells CG
Hi everyone. We are planning a trip to Wisconsin Dells in mid August. Can anyone recommend their favorite campground in that area? Thanks in advance.
We have been rv'ing for over 25 years and we just seem to enjoy it more and more. This is a great website and thoroughly enjoy stopping in.We love the Montana so far.

We love our 2955RL too! I wish I could recommend a park for you but that is another trip we took many years ago that stands out in my mind. Let me know if the Paul Bunyon restaurant is still there. That is not to be missed!

I will be waiting for a reply to this question also since we would like to take a trip to the Dells yet this summer. I think my sister has camped there, I will have to ask her this weekend.

Can't recommend a campground, but can highly recommend Paul Bunyon's for breakfast. No Dells visit is complete without experiencing Paul Bunyon's -- yes they are still going stong and yes they seem to inch up their prices every year. But, what a breakfast!!!!! (Wear your elastic waist band slacks!)

When we went to the Dells, 3yrs ago, we stayed at Devil's Den State park south of the Dells. We liked the wooded areas, lake, hiking trails, and the surrounding landscape.

I was told to stay at the local state park. It's called Devil's Lake and here is a website to look at. http://www.devilslakewisconsin.com/

Melissa - Thanks for the reminder about Devil's Lake State Park. This Wisconsinite completely forgot all about it, as it has been a number of years since we were there. It really is a great spot. Both swimming and rock climbing can be enjoyed.

We went to the Dells about 4 years ago and stayed at Sherwood Forrest cg. You are actually within walking distance of downtown and it is a Good Sam park, found in Trailer Life directory. Do the duck ride and carriage ride into the Dells, well worth the trip. We also drove over to the House on the Rock, great place to visit, but plan on spending the day there, Have fun and enjoy the Dells!

We spent 7-9 thru 7/18 at Baraboo Hills Campground in Baraboo. Approx 12 miles So of the Dells. If you have kids traveling with you they will enjoy the pool, mini golf, bikes, and other sports equipment, all free. Do have pedal cars, but they cost extra. We enjoyed the campground and so did the grandkids.
