Fuse Box for Distribution Panel
I want to install a Blue Sea 6 circuit fuse panel in our 3160RL front compartment. I can't find a recent post discussing how to do it. I am currently adding a TST repeater and a light and hope to receive suggestions and advice.

Seeing as you are installing a fuse block, and there will be fuses, connect the hot wire to the positive post of the batteries and the ground to the frame of the trailer. If you are worried, place a fuse large enough to cover the expected load being put on the fuse block. This should work well. I connected our TST signal booster to the load side of the small breaker on the wall behind the batteries, and I also added a couple 12 volt lights inside that compartment, connected to the same place, and everything works just fine.

I am not an electrician, so let me confirm. I will add a positive off the battery insert a fuse into it, then connect to the Blue Sea block. When you say a fuse large enough to cover the expected load would that be if all 6 were operative simultaneously? Do you suggest a 80 amp? The ground can be attached to any metal in the 3160RL front compartment where I am mounting the block?

Fuse size is more dependent on what size wire you are using. You probably don’t need more than a 15 or 20 amp fuse, unless you are planning on a huge load connected to the fuse block.

I would connect it to a post on one of the auto reset circuit breakers. Would be easier I think than trying to connect directly to the battery. Result is the same.

That's where I connected a couple of lights and the feed for the TST signal booster. Went to the load side of the small auto reset breaker. Can't imagine what other loads could be installed in that front compartment. If one of those 12 volt compressors were to be installed, I believe they should be directly connected to the batteries.
