Washer Drain??

We have a 2005 3400RL Montana and this is the situation. The RV came with a stacked washer/dryer which is nice however the washer drain is plumbed to the black water tank. We've lived with this and what a pain! The black water tank drain must be opened when the wife uses the washer and it accomplishes nothing as far as flushing the solids from the black water tank, I still must flush the tank after several loads of wash. My question is this: has anyone ever replumbed the washer drain to the grey water tank which is normally left open when we're set up and using the RV. How much trouble would it be to move this line and plug the hole in the black water tank? Thanks in advance for any and all help in this situation, I'm sure Montana thought this to be a good idea but not so.
