Foam handle for morryde handrail

We've got a 2021 Montana Model 3121RL. Just installed a Morryde 4 step handrail. I'm thinking it would be nice to add a foam handle, similar to the fold out handle that came on the unit. Anyone have any suggestions on what to use?

Thanks

I ordered some adhesive back foam padding from Amazon and wrapped ours where it would hit the door lock. It was causing the paint to wear, so this prevented that.
This isn't what I ordered, but it is similar type of material.

No help on the foam pad around the handle, but ...

When we purchased our Montana, the guy who did the PDI with us told me to never swing that handle back against the door as it would cause the paint to scar on the door. He told me to always swing it the other way, so it's against the wall. I followed his advise and never had any problems.

I bought some adhesive backed lightly padded wrap at Dick's sporting goods that was supposed to be used to wrap baseball bats.

Ours won't swing that way. The upright for the awning is just a few inches away.

Saw this post early this morning. It just came to mind that I've seen wrapping material for golf clubs at Academy Sports.....

We picked one up at the Rally and really like the way it feels and operates.

You might try a piece of foam pipe insulation from Lowes or HD. It’s already slit and is black to match.

Our regular handle foam grip ripped. I replaced it with two rolls of bicycle handlebar wrap. It comes in a two pack. Been working great for about 6 months. Just remember to start at the bottom and work your way up so that the overlaps run the right way. When you using a railing you're pulling / pushing down.
