What's The Point ?

Why do we all have the following "labels" below our ID's ?

New member
Seasoned Camper
Established Member
Montana Fan
Montana Master

I can see a purpose for the New Member moniker. Provide solid advice not opinion, walk them through the "newbie" process, provide encouragement, etc.
As far as the rest, what's the point ?
Do they denote our RVing experience level ?
Do they denote our knowledge level in regards to Montanas ?
Are they supposed to instill in us a sense of trust for the "higher" ranks ?
The more you post, the more you know about Montanas ?

Some folks have posted numerous times a day just get the Montana Master moniker, but a lot of those posts have nothing to do with passing along Montana knowledge. Am I supposed to trust them ?

There could be folks out there who has forgotten more about Montanas than all of us will ever know about Montanas. But, because that they only post a couple times a month they are labeled a Seasoned Camper. Am I not supposed to trust them ?

What's the point ?

Ready, go !

Still laughing over the responses. Thank you moc for making my day. Oh yeah, I pay no attention to those things...most times I don't even pay attention to myself. Tried that with the wife and you already know what that got me.

Dick and Rich are definitely among the evil ones on the forum judging by post count.

We know Dick well and he is defiantly evil .I have been on the forum since 2005 so that gave me plenty of time to do a lot of post.

I Have never even payed attention to to that. Just because they have a low post count or not. I don't think it's knowing just about Montana's more about RV's in general since most RV have the sames mechanical's. We are all here to help each other weather you know alot on know nothing. i'v been RVing for 40 plus year's and they come out with new stuff every year. Some times you don't about it till someone new to the group brings it up. Do we need more popcorn.

I'll go one step even further and say that it is more about being mechanically inclined. I can attest that DQDick definitely has a good deal of knowledge of how things work!

On the other hand, there are lots of folks out there that may have been camping for years but couldn't change a light bulb.

I like to think that people can bring their wealth of knowledge in many different areas to the table or should I say forum...being mechanical or not. (such as navigation, campgrounds, etc.)

I don’t really pay attention to the titles, but now after this information has been brought to my attention...Rich and Dick are very talkative!
And knowledgeable!
