3120rl no shore power

I am at a camp ground that has no 50 amp hook ups. So I have an adapter to 30 amp. Light inside camper says shore power is lit up. But nothing on 120v is working. I checked with a volt meter all the pedistals have 117 volts is that to low? No error on panel

What light inside camper?

The 30A adapter should provide 120VAC to both sides of your breaker panel. Check the two 50A breakers in the center (I think they are breakers 7 & 8); make sure they did not trip.

All inside lights are 12 VDC.. thats why the interior light is lit..

If you have a multimeter then check the 120 VAC inside at the power center panel 50 amp breakers ( two of them ) and verify you have 120 VAC..

If no power then check at the end of the shore power cable that plugs into the RV and verify cable has power..

Most likely.. if the pedestal has power and none inside then the 50 to 30 amp adapter is bad...

117 volts AC in at an RV park pedestal is nominal voltage

I checked and had voltage after the 30 amp adapter, so checking online I saw people had problems with the 50 amp cord reel when it was not used very often having contact problems, so I extended the cord and reeled it beck in a few times and everything came on and is working fine. Thanks for the help

Also, the 50-30 amp dogbone adapters can fail. Use your MM to test for continuity to make sure it’s OK

Found the problem, my unit is gen prepped so it has a transfer switch which failed. Since I don't have a generator I just removed it and put a watchdog surge protector in its place. and if I ever add an onboard generator I will replace the switch then.

There have been many posts about those xfer switches failing. Get a better one if you add a generator.
