San Antonio KOA

All
I reached out last summer when my wife and I were looking for a place to stay for 3-4 weeks from mid Jan - mid Feb in South Texas One poster suggested the KOA.

I would like to report that this KOA was a great stay for us. It was clean, very nice and has staff that are pleasant and willing to help with your questions and needs. We had a nice stay.

One thing we learned we did not know before.... February starts livestock and rodeo show season.... so earlier reservations for longer stays is probably a good idea. There were several who set up around us that were only on site a day or two.... but not sure how availability would have been if wanting to stay for a few weeks.

Thanks again to those who offered suggestions to us.

Next time take a look at The Alsatian Resort in Castroville. Close to San Antonio but out of town an quiet. Be sure check out the Baker and meat shop in town.

Glad you had a good stay. I was one that recommended you check out the KOA in SanAntonio. We have stayed there a few times and always had a good stay. Happy trails.

We have talked about staying at other places in San Antonio, but we always prefer to stay at the KOA. A flood in October 1998 covered it 6’to 10’ deep causing lots of damage. They started rebuilding and have improved it continually. I stayed there as a kid June 1968 when my folks took us to Hemisfair ‘68 and have probably had 50 visits in the years since.
