Stool room heat duct

I want to clean under the grill over the heat vent. Looks like it should snap off but I don`t want to break it. Anyone done this?

I took mine off to put a piece of that silver insulation material in it. keeps it clean when not in use plus blocks the cool ac air from escaping. Just snaps off.

They snap off. If you have a putty knife or something wider than a screwdriver, that would be helpful. You could use a narrow screwdriver but be careful with the plastic. It's pretty tough but it could break. If you can bet your fingers under it you could probably pry it off that way.
