electrical fire

Our 2022 High Country caught fire in the storage compartment where the batteries are. The fire chief said it's very likely electrical due to the smell of the fire. We'd already planned to take it in (only 4 months old) due to electrical issues: blowing awning fuses, can only run one appliance at a time without blowing a breaker, and the hot water heater only works on propane, not electric. Curious if anyone else out there has had the unfortunate experience we had. I see there have been recalls due to wiring, so just trying to get a feel for others' experiences. BTW, we are fine and so are the pups but the trailer will be totaled, no doubt, due to the entire electrical system being fried.

Welcome to the forum from a former Rusk County native. Sorry to hear about your issues. I don’t recall reading about a situation like yours since I joined the forum in 2018 (edit: boy was I wrong! see links below for your reading pleasure)

The day I bought my unit, a service tech took me out to demonstrate the level-up system. Basement doors were open and there was a bright blue flash electrical explosion that came from the InCommand BCM board. The tech called on the radio for another tech to come look at the issue and he took me over to another unit. I have no idea what the end results were, but it had to be an expensive fireworks display.

I did a forum search of "electrical fire" and found these...
