It is attached (velcro-ed) to the sofa, such that, when you open up the sofa to convert it to a bed, the air mattress with built-in pump is on top of the opened-up sofa. You then plug it it to a wall outlet and the mattress inflates to become a bed. Much better in my opinion than the flimsy, thin plastic covered "mattress" that I have seen in most other sleeper-sofas. After use, you again turn on the pump to deflate the mattress, and it flattens out to easily close up iniside the sofa. Maybe it is an "option" as opposed to standard equipment on some Mountaineers.

Same one came with my 3400RL. Dealer (Keystone) replaced it after 5 months of use when it sprung a little leak.
Have you checked with a dealer to get a model number? Also, isn't there a tag on it that identifies Mfg, etc., I think that may be a law and the owner can remove it, but not the sales place.

Flair makes the sofa bed. It was designed specifically for Keystone. We were told the company is right next to the factory. Keystone customer service should be able to help you.

I too have a 2007 307 RKD, with a standard mattress sofa bed. The air mattress sofa bed was a mid year change for the moutaineers for the 2007 model year.
