The 14 ply Hankook tire in question is the F-19. The size will be 7.50R16. I sell many of these to folks with livestock, and equipment trailers, but not many for RV's. I don't see many problems out of them, mostly just people not watching their air pressure. I believe the Goodyear G614 is a better tire, but for the price, the Hankook makes a fair alternative.

About $148.00 per tire.
I sell the G614 for $314.97, and the Hankook for $167.06. I'm sure prices vary around the country for both tires, but the difference should be about the same.

That would be a difference of $668.24 for four tires. That's a pretty impressive difference. You still prefer the G614's, even with that price difference?

There isn't a doubt in my mind as to the G614 being a higher quality tire than the Hankook F-19. The cost difference IS very substantial, and only the individual writing the check can decide whether or not the cost is justifiable. If I were a full time traveller, putting several thousand miles per year on my tires, the extra cost might be justifiable, but I'm lucky if I get to go a few hundred miles per year. In my case, spending the extra bucks would be foolish.
My personal preference is neither of the above, as I have no need for a 14 ply tire. I use 10 ply commercial light truck tires.

LonnieB's answer is correct the size is 7.50R16 that is comperable to the 235/85-16. These tires are used quite a bit on stock trailers. He may be correct on the quality choice, however, the the dealer I used had far fewer problems with the Hankook than the Goodyear. At least that was his opinion. All I can say is that the Hankook have performed well for us. And yes, price was a big determining factor.
Good Luck

Broome,
Were the wheels on your rig rated for the higher pressure? or did you change out wheels?

They were rated at 120 PSI, the came with G rated on it, but the tires went to bad like the missions, they were Hi-Run China tires, tread came off like it was a retread tire from days of old. Luckily I felt the tire in seat of truck and stopped and saw it coming off prior to coming off, so no damage occurred.

Thanks for the info Broome - something to learn here as we seek cheaper tires - the Chinese even have a market on the high pressure tires as well.
