vacuum packaging foods on the road

I'm curious if I'm the only one who went and bought a FoodSaver cryovacing system for RVing? I have the more expensive model at home and have found it ideal for vacuum packaging foods so I bough the fifty dollar model for our 3400RL. For anyone who doesn't know what I'm talking about, think of those little coffee foils that make the coffee feel rock hard. The air is sucked out and then the bag is sealed. It works great. I pre-package my coffee so that the bags make a full pot. Coffee goes bad fairly quickly so this is a great help. But I find that camping in the northeast in the summer can be a humid experience. If we open a bag of chips, as long as the bag is mylar, you can easily heat reseal them in a couple of seconds. Also, meats and leftovers stay fresh for very long periods when the oxygen is removed and the bag is heat sealed. The manual says that normally frozen beef can remain in the freezer and stay good for 6-9 months. With my FoodSaver, it extends to two years! Just thought I'd post this in the Cooking forum and General to spread the word. (No affiliation or profit involved on my end...)
