There are several owners on here of them. I imagine they will chime in soon. I hear a lot of good about them!

There probably aren't any more problem with the 3150RL than any other rig. Anything you tow down the road can have some things that may pop up to pay attention to. I think there will be a few things that will need attention from time to time.
My 3150RL has not been back to a dealer and it just went out of warranty. I fixed all the little things that needed fixing myself. It was cheaper than towing it to a dealer.
Now I did replace the axles. That was mainly my choice. This past year we have put almost 21,000 miles on the 3150RL. A trip to Alaska took up 9000 plus of those 21,000 miles.
There have been no problems with the appliances, tanks, plumbing etc.
I think you will be happy with the 3150RL. We love ours. The Montana is a good 5th wheel.

Oh boy! Are you gonna love this model! We selected this model above all others (of course this is strictly a personal choice). I especially like the position of the entertainment center in relationship to the couch and recliners. Great floor plan (IMHO)! If there is any drawback at all it would be the height of some of the cabinets. I'm tall so it doesn't bother me and I bought DW a light but sturdy step stool in case I'm not around to reach for whatever she needs.
Welcome to the forum!

Welcome to the forum, we too have a 3150rl and really like it. The problems we've had are small, leak in the shower in the corner at the steps and a leak around the faucet too. Leaky water pump(which was replaced under warranty). We love our unit, we are in it right now, I think you will be happy.

We have this model and have just spent 3 months in it and it has been very comfortable, even in 15 degree weather. yes, we have had some problems, the water heater stopped working on electric because of some wires that burnt because they were smashed when it was installed and the transfer switch burned because of a defect. unusual things, but they could happen to anyone. You will love the unit and hopefully you have no problems

Very satisfied with ours. Only problem so far was the propane regulator would not switch to the alternate tank. It was replaced under warranty.

We love ours as well. We have only had a few minor warranty items which were corrected by our dealer.

We love ours. Just spent over 5 months living in it. I would like an enclosed bathroom, but, did not want a longer trailer.

We too love ours. We have had it for 18 months now with minor problems. Replaced the propane regulators under warranty. This seems to be a fairly common problem from some of the posts I've read. Other than that it is great.

recently bought 2011 3150,made date of 11-10-10, purchased 1-14-11. wall between closet and w/d ,split 14" back from front of cap(inside),I see pin move about 1" up&down in mirror while driving, trying not to get to worried about broke welds yet,it appears lots of issues on same matter. plus black tank flush valve does not work & gate valve will not close intirely ,still waiting on warranty work after 6 weeks, not happy. anyonelse with simular or worse. I haven't mentioned the real facts about the whole event, not a good experience.

Got mine last May and really like it. The factory installed too heavy a shock on the entry door and it sprung the hinges after about 3 months use. Keystone replaced the entire door along with a lighter shock. One brake was not wired up direct from the factory. I also had to have the axles recambered, but Keystone paid for it all. I've owned 3 Montanas since 2000 ... liked em all, but this one by far has had the most major issues. Sadly typical of what you purchase nowdays. Keystone has always done me right on all my fivers.

In my 2011 3150 I have 4 steps,I've noticed that under the door entrance I have 4 6x8'' burnt area's in the dicor I was told factory changed from 3 step to 4 step, but never patched holes or told me about how it took place no one seems to know, have holes in back of recliners, where tops rub together.I have towels in between, but wore though towels also.Come to find out ,stapels are sticking out of both chairs I have removed stapels, chairs still have wholes and keystone won,t replace them.

ok, here is our take on the 3150. during the first year we had:
1. brake system replaced
2. new sofa
3. new chairs
4. new electronic controller--all of it.
5. new rear ele. leg motor
6. furance is terrible and LOUD
7. neither a/c conditioner cools down to a point where it is cold
8. furnace kicks on and off in cool weather
so, this is our take.

Don57,
When you say that Keystone won't replace them, are you still under the one year warranty?? If so, are you working through your dealer or with Keystone. Lastly, unless something has changed, the recliners were manufactured by Flair Interiors and you may be able to get some resolution there. Warranty e-mail is FlairWarranty@FlairInteriors.com and if you can get Elaine Z., she is very helpful and may be able to help you out. The Flair warranty is for one year from date of retail purchase or two years from date of manufacture. Worth a try if you cannot get resolution elsewhere since it is obviously a manufacturers defect.

I am new to this forum as well. We are anxiously awaiting the arrival of our 2011 3150 and should be here in May. This forum has such great information and gives me an idea of what to expect. Glad to hear that most of the members are happy with their 3150's. Hope to be able to attend some functions and meet other Montana members!

Can anyone who has a 3150 tell me if there is a 12v receptacle near the desk/entertainment area? Our sales person said there was but I cannot remember seeing it.
Thanks Cathie

Cathie our 2010 3150RL does not have a 12 Volt receptacle near the desk/entertainment center. There is a 12 Volt light over the desk.

Our 2011 doesn't have one either. But ours is an early model in the year. The've made some changes since we've received ours. Maybe there is one in the new ones.
