Who will you be rooting for!!!

I don't have a favorite team for the SuperBowl this Sunday. I am just looking for a fantastic game, involving two brothers coaching each opposing team from competely opposite sides of the country. I can't imagine how their Mom and Dad are handling this and how the family gatherings will be in the future with one losing SuperBowl coach and one winning SuperBowl coach from the SAME game for the rest of their lives.

I also disagree with Deion Sanders when he said (and I paraphrase), "What do you mean this is the first Superbowl that pits brothers against each other? What about 2007 when coaches Lovie Smith of Chicago and Tony Dungee of Indianapolis played each other?" I believe the distinction is that this SuperBowl has brothers and in 2007 they had bruthas. Not quite the same. Get over it Deion.

Who will you be rooting for and why? I did not make this a poll because I want to keep this somewhat subjective!

Looking forward to a great game, but I'm avoiding all the extra hype.

I'll be rooting for the Ravens. They're the oldest group of guys in professional football and I'm rooting for my group (the geezers).

After living for so many years in northern Ohio, it's almost sacreligious to root for the Ravens. Remember that the Ravens were created when Art Model moved the Cleveland Browns to Baltimore. Since I am not a native Buckeye I'm going to claim executive privilege (or something like that)and root for the Ravens. Joe Flacco, the Raven's quarterback, graduated from my high school, Audubon High School in Audubon, New Jersey. (only a hundred years later). Gotta keep nepotism in the family. Go Ravens!!!!

The only way I can justify rooting for the Ravens (devout Steelers fan here!!) is that at least they are team that is located in our time zone. Torn a little since the old 49er (Moss) is from just down the road, but I guess I will stick to the East vs. the West and root for the eastern team. Sorry westerners, no offense (pun?) intended.

9ers all the way. Born and raised in San Francisco and been a 9er fan thru thick and thin. I lived two blocks from the Haight in 1966 and loved every minute of it. Not too proud of it being a sanctuary city now and only go back to do the tourist thing every now and then. Love it just the same......Might be a great defensive game, but who knows, it the SUPER BOWL.........

Ravens, because folks seem to think SF has the edge. And I have also been partial to Baltimore after the movie "blind Side"

I enjoy watching some of the games, especially when it comes down to the super bowl. However, I can’t say that I’m a fan of anyone team all that much but I would at least root for the one closest to our area. Overall, really don’t care just like the entertainment of it.

Gotta go with the Ravens ,even though I don't like them much, i like the 49ers better but I think the Ravens might do what Seattle did to them

I'm in a hard spot. I adopted the 9ers back in 1968 when I got stationed in California. Remember Brodie was QB? On top of that however I have two sons. One lives in Centreville, MD, on the Eastern Shore, a stones throw to Baltimore. The other son lives in Emeryville, CA, just across the Bay Bridge from San Francisco. What's a dad to do? My heart says reach back for the old days, and I left it in San Francisco, so I guess it really is a no brainer! Sorry, son....go 9ers!!

Good choice Walt. I remember when Brodie took over for YA Tittle. 9ers sent Tittle packing.....only to have him win 3 championships in NY. We suffered through many losing seasons before the '80s

Hail to the Redskins! Don't have a choice today. Probably start to favor a team while watching.

Living just south of Baltimore, it's a no brainer. Go Ravens!!! Hope it's a good game, too, like out last two playoff games (Broncos and Pats!).
