This reminds me of the friendly retired boatswain's mate we met at Fort Pickens in Florida several years ago. He had lost his wife not long before we met him and traveled alone in a small fifth-wheel. We and an Alabama couple befriended him and took him out to dinner one night. He was from California and told us that he had no planned itinerary, made no reservations, but drove until he was nearly out of fuel. That determined his stay for the night. Terry, we are glad you almost ran out of fuel at Pensacola. We have pleasant memories of our meeting out on Santa Rosa Island.
