Cold weather comfort food

Cookin' my cold weather Bins, love them Bins.. Pressure cooking is the only way for me, put the beans in the pot, cover with our R.O. water, bring to a boil, cool off, let the water out (de-poot's them a bit) then chicken stock, sweet onions, diced sweet ham, big ole ham bone, seasoned salt, Garlic Cumin, chili powder (just a bit of each) then cover, up to pressure for 25 minutes and 'Bob's your Uncle': Bins

Looks really good. The group that was still here for Christmas had ham for Christmas Dinner and then one of the folks did something similar with the bone for New Years. We are blessed or cursed depending on how you look at it by having a retired Executive Chief from Marriot as one of our volunteers.

Yesterday it was chicken halves in the smoker with baked beans and deluxe chopped salad(both Miller family recipe's). Last week was apple smoked and barbequed baby backs. I'm getting to know my smoker a lot better.

Well, tomorrow, for us, it's good old Wisconsin Johnsonville Italian Bratwurst on the grill for the Packers- Cowboys shootout at the frozen tundra.[ BTW I'm glad we're in TX right now.
