Neutral missing
I am a newbie RV'er. I've been living in my 2022 3813ms for about 6 months. Last week I had too many things running at the same time. My Hughes Watchdog gave me an overcurrent error. Now my Watchdog has given me Neutral Missing inside the rv error. Since Montana doesn't provide any electrical diagrams, where does one begin checking?

I would start at the pedestal outside, then your cable and trace your way inside from there.

OK, I don't quite understand? I have a little older 30 amp Watchdog and a 50 amp Progressive EMS (both portable). I thought both of these only monitored the power coming INto the camper and if any anomalies occurred, they simply shut down the trailer, throw the error code which is the indicator for the problem with the in-coming power. Are they now designed to show anomalies on the other side (the camper itself).

Is your Hughs Watchdog portable or hardwired?
If portable and plugged into your shore power then it is indicating loss of neutral at the shore power pedestal.
If hardwired in the trailer then it is indicating loss of neutral somewhere between the pedestal and the Watchdog.

My EMS killed power to my rig gave me an open neutral error a while back. It caused me to look into it and discovered corrosion on the plug to my trailer at the ground wire. Cleaned it up and power was restored.

As a follow up, I had an electrician come out. We checked everything from the pedestal to the circuit beakers. Turns out the plug on the RV had a melted neutral. Not 100% sure but the neutral wire was scorched, housing around neutral prong melted. Lesson learned, pull the plug first then hit all the breakers. Electrician thought the wires may not have been tight enough on the rv side of the plug

If you are talking about the connector where the shore power cord plugs into the trailer, that has been an often reported problem. Loose or poor connections have melted and/or burned a number of them.

This is what happens when you are more worried about getting home to plow the fields than doing a a good job at work. Keystone hires bodies to build the trailers over technicians with training.
