Living room slide

I have my first(minor)problem with the Montana. Under the slide the electrical wires have a steel rod running through the coiled wires to hold them up. It's about 56" long and runs through a hole in the frame. Evidently when I closed it the rod did not go into the hole and was bent out of shape and snapped off. I hooked up some springs to keep the wires off of the ground, but their may be a better answer. This is on a 2003 3280RL,any answers?

Bill, Could you post a picture of what you are talking about?? We have the 2003 3280RL and have looked for a steel rod running through coiled wires and can not find or just don't know where it is. Thanks

Prairiepoodle,I was finally able to take a picture of the rod that I threaded through the wiring on the living room slide. I found the rod at Lowe's hardware I believe they are nation-wide. It needs to be at least 60" long and well lubricated. The old one must have fallen out of the hole and when I closed the slider it crumpled up and snapped off. Now if I can only figure out how to post the pictures I'd be happy.

Bill, go to www.tinypic.com (not tinypics, that's a porn site), click on the Browse button, find the picture on your pc, click on the "host it" button. When it returns, scroll down and you'll see boxes with urls in them. Click in the one with the IMG tags and copy it (highlight the whole line, hold the Ctrl key then press the c key while holding the ctrl key. That will copy it.). Then paste it in the post (ctrl-v or rightclick/paste). It should have the IMG tags (with [ and ]) around it if you want the picture to show in the post. Hope that helps.
