Where to stay in San Antonio

We're thinking about visiting San Antonio in January 2006. Any suggestions as to where to camp? Is January a good time or would we better off a little later in the winter?

We really like Blazing Star Resort. It is the nicest RV park we have been to. In addition, Blazing Star is easily accessed from four lane highways. We were in San Antonio in January and March, 2005 -- both time it was in the 80's. Marilyn and Bruce.

January is great in south Texas (Central or Gulf Coast). Marilyn and Bruce aren't joking-- we ran out A/C as often as not throughout the winter in Houston this year. We were in Austin three weeks ago (a few pics are on the website listed below), and it was stinkin' hot during the day, cooling off to "pretty darned nice" during the evenings.

We visited San Antonio last December for a few days. Wonderful weather - sunny with temps in the 70's. Would also highly recommend Blazing Star Resort. Shaded pull thru sites with concrete pads. Extremely clean and quiet.

We didn't care for the park we were in (don't recall it's name) so looked around at other parks. We decided if we were to visit the area again we would stay at either The Admiralty or The Blazing Star.
