Slide

My slide doesn't seem to be going out all the way. Is there a measurement to check. One side seems to go out farther than the other.

Don...I don't know about a measurement, but if it seals on the inside walls all the way around then I would say it was all the way out. If not against the seals on the inside then you know the answer. Dave

Ummmm, Your rig floor plan suggest you have bedroom slide and a living room slide. This is just like mine and they are not the same when extended.

I have four slides...they all go out different amounts. As stated above, check the inside seal.

I believe there is a shear bolt on the shaft underneath your slide. The shaft keeps both sides traveling the same while the cylinder does the pushing and pulling. The bolt is something like a 1/4-20 by 2". I cary extras ... I'll confirm the size in a few days unless someone else knows for sure.

I think he may mean that opposite ends of a single slide may not be coming out equally. That would mean that there is either some adjustment needed to the nuts on the rams, or something is awry with the slide framework, or most likely, there is some foreign object in a bad place not allowing it to extend fully.

It is the dining table/couch slide that one end seems to be out farther than the other.

Like I mentioned earlier ... check the shear bolt ... if it is gone or broken, the slide will not transfer out the same on both ends. There is a gear rack with gears and a shaft below your slide. The hydraulic cylinder moves the slide while the shaft keeps both ends traveling together. If the bolt is sheared the cylinder will push more on one side while the other will lag behind. If the bolt is missing, just use a crescent wrench or pipe wrench to move the shaft to make both sides even and replace the bolt. I just felt I didn't expain myself well enough earlier.
