I have the Mountaineer but they are probably similar. there are long screws through the wood frame that go into the case of the TV. In my case I have to remove the stereo speakers to get to the screws on the bottom of the TV. As you pull out th TV dont forget the wires.

We have he 2955RL model. There are 3 screws holding the TV in. 2 are from the bottom in the DVD player section, and one on the side near the top. That side one has a wooden plug covering it on the wall going up the stairs.

Remember the TV is heavy, you need 2 people to remove it, one to hold it while the other one disconnects the wires.

Dick,

I have a 2006 2980RL. You trading in the Big Sky?

To answer your question, there is a white capped screw on the wall in the hallway. That screw is screwed right through the plastic frame of the TV. There is also a screw in the bottom and that can be accessed through the space where the DVD is located. Remove those screws and it should just pull out of the wall. If it is the Zenith TV, you will be surprised how much wasted room is behind the TV.

On edit, didn't realize Rogue answered your question.

Thanks all who responded. We had a couple over for dinner; they are from Missouri and have a Montana and we told them about the great people on the MOC site. So I posted a question that he had and he was surprised at the quick response we got back. Not to mention that we solved his problem.

Thanks to all for your answers and I think we will have a new MOC member soon.

Dick,

Oh, I see, you're becoming a recruiter.....and I thought you were trying out to be a ladder holder on the graphics team!

Keep up the good work! We need more members!
