Georgia Aquarium
I am intrigued by this new aquarium and will probably visit on our way back from Florida next April/07. has anyone been to the aquarium and where did u stay and was there shuttle service at the park.
Any information would be appreciated? It looks like a very unique experience.
thanks, Diane

Funny you should ask. We are going to take the grandkids there today. It is getting rave reviews here in Atlanta and we are really looking forward to seeing it. I'll let you know how it goes.

Diane, it is really great. We spent about three hours there before the kids (4 and 6 years old) got tired. I could have spent several more hours. Really first class operation and very informative.
We stay at McKinney campground, a COE park on Lake Alatoona about 35 miles northwest of Atlanta. There is no shuttle to the aquarium, but parking near the facility is available, if pricy ($8 to $10).

Diane, sorry we didn't see and respond to your last post. To answer your question, you should have no problem finding a site at McKinney that will handle your Monty. It does get busy on weekends in the summer, so you may need to make reservations.
