Landing gear pad

I have a question I would like help with.I pulled into a boondocking place, and was ready to level my trailer, and realized my driver side middle pad was gone only the pipe was there. Can you buy the pad or do I have to buy the whole jack.
I can not level my trailer because the middle jacks comes down before the rear jacks.
I was thinking to put a wood block under the pipe but would that ruin the pipe??? Any suggestions

Yes you can purchase a pad, I believe I seen them on etrailer.com or go to the lippert website.

If you were to put some 2x6’s under it I don’t believe it would hurt it.

I don't think it would hurt to temporarily put a chunk of wood under the pipe.

i have a 2020 high country and the middle jacks are only used for stability...

the front and rear level the trailer first ..then and only then do the middle jacks come down

are you sure of the jack order???

Yes you should put wood under the leg. I would not use 2x. I would use a couple pieces of 3/4 plywood. The 2x will split very easily.

I almost always park on soil and the landing pads look like a c on its back. I got tired of that and made a set out of 3/8 thick plate and a little larger than stock. They stay flat and don’t sink in like the OEM ones do.

Bruce the level-up system is totally different between the Montana and the High Country. The six point level-up on the Montana all works together. It starts with the front first then lowers the back four and levels the unit over-all with all six leveling the unit.

Thanks a lot for all the support. I will use a piece of wood until I am able to get another pad. I don't have any plywood. Is it easy to install the new pad?

Not hard, it just bolts on, but your're also going to need the bolt when you order the pad.

And when you do replace it, put some Loctite on the bolt threads before assembling.

Same thing happened to me last week. Ordered the pad kit from Lippert last week and I'm back in business.

I was able to buy a replacement pad and lock pin on Amazon for around $45.

Yes you can definitely buy new pads. They just bolt on from underneath. I picked up my trailer from a trailer repair business and one of my pads was bent. So they replaced it in about five minutes.

Go to etrailer, you can buy landing pads from them. I just had to replace my right front landing gear minus the motor on my 2016 376 fl. Seen they have just about everything including landing pads.

Mine is a HC, and shortly after purchasing the camper I drug the end and didn't realize I lost the pad. I leveled with lumber under it. It worked just fine. I ordered another one from my dealership at the tune of over $50.00. After loosing this one, I started removing the pad. Mine are on with a pin and a spring and then the foot drops right off. Needless to say, I've never lost another one again on the road. I get funny looks when I pull into a campsite when folks watch me re-attach each of the 6 pads, but I'm not there to make them happy anyway.

FYI, my High Country auto levels like this. Mine are the electric system, not hydraulic: Unhitch, lower or raise the front manually to as level as possible. Set Auto level.

Front jacks self adjust and fine tune the level front to back.
Back jacks lower and re-adjusts.
Right left adjust, usually one corner at a time.
Once level (the green dot is in the middle), the middle jacks lower.
Corners readjust again, middle ones readjust again, and finally....
Beep!

Hi Sunshine. I have a Montana 3582RL. I can select “manual” on my leveling system so I can control what jacks to lower first. Perhaps you can do the same until you get it fixed?

sunshine, just figure out which UPS retail store you want it sent to. Not a big deal unless you and in rural Alaska.
