Wire short
We took an unscheduled trip last week end. The park we stayed in had 50 AMP service and when we plugged in there was a popping sound for a short time. I figured that there was dust in the system as we had not been on 50 AMPs for a long time. Every thing worked fine. When we got home I plugged into our 30 AMP service more popping and now it sounded like an arc welder. Unplugged immediately. This morning loosened the belly Pan and had Glub plug it in. Located the short. all the wires running under the rig were laying against the teeth on the slid arm so that every time we run the front room in and out it is sawing through the wires. Keystone said if it wasn't put together right they would make it right. We will see Something to think about. It goes in on Fri. Film at eleven. Treecounter

Wow, I'm sure glad you caught that before someone got hurt. From what I've seen, if Keystone says they will make it right, you can take it to the bank. Please let us know how this comes out for you.

We got our rig back today. Tis is a record. All Seasons RV and Marine has a whole new service department. Took it in at 8 AM and it was done by 2 PM. They found what I had found and said that they would contact the factory about reimbursement. Those wires(and hydraulic lines ) should not be any where near the teeth on the slide our. Treecounter

Hope everything works out for you and am glad to hear that the problem has been fixed before you or anyone else may have been injured.
