Lorraine towing the Monty...She got an A+ but....

As we are already in the Fairgrounds for the Fall rally but not in the CG area of the rally I have told Lorraine it will be her job to tow the rig to our Rally site.
It is not a long haul, maybe 3/4s of a mile BUT she will have 4 90° turns. None are particularly tight but she will have to take the turns so as not to hit anything on the right hand corners.
She feels she can do it. What I haven't told her yet is that I will also want her to try to back into the site.
Wish her luck.

BTW--We hope to move to the rally area on the 14th. Just a few days away.

ON EDIT---
Lorraine pulled it over to the new site like she's done it before. With very little coaching from me she made it thru 4 90° turns without a problem.
BUT she said "no way" when it came to backing in.
The next step will be to have her take over on an Interstate just to get the feel of higher speed towing.

BTW-She credits a lot her confidence to last years Ladies Driver Training.

My wife does everything better than me. I am sure she can do it and if it doesn't work out its your fault anyway!! I have learned to live with it. But on a serious note she should be able to do everything necessary within her physical capabilities to setup and move out. Hopefully she will only have to use them to show you she can do it better than you.

I once left my wife with our 32 foot cruiser with twins out in the Mississippi river. She brought it in the harbor and put it in the slip. Couldnt have done it better my self. Then she told me how much she loved me. NOT

Helen does most of the camper parking and backing as well as much of the driving. She is however the prime navigator as filing and changing flight plans is what she did for a living and I never know where I am...

Hey Glen, she might just tell you to scoot over and take over all of the driving. After she gets a feel for it she may like it!

Lorraine if Glenn gets to be a to much of a back seat driver, you could just leave him there and walk over to your new site. Sorry Glenn, just had to tease ya. I know she can do it!!!

Two weeks ago, Kathy hitched 'er up, took 'er out of a very narrow and uneven farm laneway, made the ditch-hugging turn onto the backroad, then out to the main road and drove an hour-and-a-half.
I said all of the expected things until I got the clue that she didn't need to hear them anymore...

Glen,

Be sure to cook dinner after she has done all of the work Good for you to encourage her to do this. I haven't had to back up the Monty yet, guess I need to learn. I have driven it on the Interstate, in town, and on windy country roads having to watch out for trees.

Not looking forward to the back up thing.

Tell her job well done for me.
