Furnace Repair #2
Had to make my 2nd call to a mobile rv repair guy on my furnace. 1st time he came out and adujsted the sail switch, said it wasn't catching enough air. $200. $115 service call and $85 labor. Keystone said they'd pay $85 but they wanted pictures which I didn't take at the time, didn't think of it. also a form w9 which I have no idea what that is.
That was Nov. 26.
I left for home on saturday before Christmas. When I got back Christmas day I had used no propane. Luckily it didn't get below freezing. Pulled the cover and flipped the reset button back and forth and it fired. Worked until last night. It was raining hard and it quit about 1:30 this morning. Used heat pump and fireplace and called mobile rv guy this morning.
He just got done. Pulled burner and it was full of water and also had a stink bug in it. He drilled a drain hole and cleaned it up. Fired right up. I have to get a piece of armaflex tape at work to add to the cover to make a more secure gasket when I get back to work Wednesday.
Didn't charge me. I expected to be charged since it was a different issue, but he said he wasn't sure so it was on him. Good guy.
If you're ever need an rv service tech in the St. Louis area, A+ Mobile Maintenance is the place to call.
