Landing Leg Maintenance

This is only for older rigs without level up.
One of my landing legs that failed about 7 years ago, has failed again. I did some maintenance using motor oil and grease. I will start doing what Lippert recommends on an annual basis. I got the replacement leg from etrailer today.
Lippert recommend using a high temp wheel bearing grease but before applying the grease use motor oil to lubricated the long screw that moved the whole mechanism up an down. I was very concerned about the nut and screw mechanism and how to lubricate that part of the leg. I have already warned by wife about the oil that will drip out the bottom of the landing leg--get the paper towels ready!
