Maxair is going crazy

Anybody have their Maxair automatic vent go nuts? It is acting like somebody is playing with the switch. Going on, off, opening, closing (fortunately, mostly closed) but it keeps beeping like it wants to be more closed.

I took the switch off and disconnected it with no difference. So it is somewhere else. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks,

There is a control board behind the fan shroud. That was the culprit when ours had a mind of its own. It’s about $45. Added and extra one to my spare parts treasure.

Thanks Fireguy, it seems to regained it's senses and stopped misbehaving. I'll probably get an extra board anyway just in case it starts up again. I suspect that it got wet somehow and when it dried resumed normal operation.

We'll see.

Yeah that was the behavior that ours exhibited as well. It lasted another 4-5 weeks before it went crazy again.
