Replacement VIN / Tire Tag

So I had my 3790RD polished and waxed and they wiped out the information on the ID and Tire tag on the side of the unit. Anyway to have them replaced? Montana says they will not reprint them.

Same thing happened to me...wax on...wax off...bye-bye weight tag and tire load tag! Yeah...no tags - but just LOOK at that shine!! Fortunately I had taken a pic of the tags when the rig was new. I took the photo to a local print shop and they printed new tags for me. The print shop charged me $37 for 2 tags. You can see the wiped out OEM tags in the background of the photo below. I put the extra tag in the junk drawer in the camper. I did the tire chart a few months later and they were also $37 for two stickers. Hopefully someone with your same unit can send you a photo of the OEM tags.

THIS IS A REMINDER TO ALL THAT READ THIS THREAD - GO TAKE A PHOTO OF YOUR WEIGHT AND TIRE LOAD TAGS NOW!

I would think Keystone could send you all the info that was on the tag. At least you would have it in an email or letter.

You probably already have that info, except for the tires, which isn't that big a deal. You have the weight tag on you screen door that has the weights, and there should be a metal tag riveted to your pin box that has your VIN number on it. These are photos of our tags.

The yellow tag Bob shows in his first pic is inside the door frame on the jamb side on our rig. Open the door and look there if it's not on the screen door like he said.

I had the same experience. Keystone will not send you a new tag. They will send you a letter with your Vin and all of the information from the original tag that you can keep in your vehicle. Several have mentioned taking photos of the tags. That is a great idea. Wish I had done that....

I know this doesn't help now, but if you reprint and affix, buy some 3M clear guard and stick over the new label, it won't erase them next time.
