Quartzsite 2013

Hello All,

We're looking forward to the Quartzsite 2013 MOC rally and would like to mark our calendar. Are the rally dates set yet?

FYI- the Rock and Gem show is January 4-13 2013, the RV show is January 19-27 2013, and the Pow Wow is January 23-27 2013.

Looking forward to seeing you!

Joel and Julie

Joel & Julie,
We will be posting firm dates after the Seven Feathers Rally next month, but we are tentatively planing the middle of January for one week. I also sent you an e-mail.

Jack

We hope to make this 2013, not that my 2 cents preference makes one bit of difference, but, we usually honker down for the holidays for one month, from ohhhh Dec 15th to Jan 15th. Sorta hoping the circle will be a few days after that so we can get there from somewhere in Arizona or New Mexico and be there for ALL of the circle this time! WOOT!

And, the usual disclaimer, God willing and the creek don't rise!

Be safe out there.

We too were wondering about Quartzsite. Do we need an invite? Do we need a reservation? Is there room for us in the desert? What time is the potluck? Should we bring firewood? How much does it cost for the port-a-potty? Do we need solar? What time do we need to have our cameras ready for the sunset picture? Can we buy a group picture? What time should we have our RV ready for the fly-over photo? Are flags and flag poles required? What is the address for the event. Will that address work on my GPS? Can we reserve a spot next to our friends? We would like our friends on both sides. Do we have to contribute to the MOC forum? Can I buy non-ethanol gasoline for my generator in the area? How much water will we use? Can we come if we don't own a Montana? Can we use our contractor generator if it is quiet to us? How many dogs can we bring? How big are the snakes, and what kinds are they? What kind of weather should we expect? Where are the trash dumpsters located? Should we contact the head of BLM and tell them that we might be there longer than 14 days? Should we buy a LTVA permit? Where do we get name badges? If I misspelled my name and information requested, can you reprint my name tag? Will we remember the names of all the friends we met?

Honestly, this is just a small part of the questions we received as past wagonmasters at Quartzsite....the point is, be patient...and put the event on your calendar at the same time as the RV Show, January 19-27...that part we do know. Jack will give you his expert advice on all of these topics well before the event. Stay tuned!

So you really did write down all the questions we got last year. And I thought you were just pulling my leg. Dave and I are looking forward to seeing you two in the desert this time

Doug,
That is the most important thing of course and we already have it on our tentative schedule for 4:30 pm everyday

Wow, what an early request this year, but seeing as how you were the first to ask I will reserve it for you and Ken. I guess this means you can loan your generators out then, right

I am sure there are a few more questions I could come up with, but I got pretty tired, and my fingers were hurting from all the typing....and of course I DID forget the very best one....what time is happy hour? BTW, I already have my FHU site installed. :-)

Hi Jack
Mary Ann and I are planning to be there in 2013 and would like the spot next to the Hot Tub.
See everyone in January.

Don & Mary Ann,
Sorry no hot tub This coming year we opted for the full size, in ground pool! But it is heated so you can take a dip at night and still stay warm I will get you as close to it as I can though

Jack

Rondo,
We always pick a newcomer and use their rig for the shower/potty room

No problem Charlie, as long as everyone puts the required fee in the little box next to the door everything will work out!
